The QR678® Neo therapy represents a significant advancement in the treatment of hair loss. By arresting hair fall and enhancing the thickness, number, and density of hair follicles, it offers improved coverage for individuals experiencing alopecia. The therapy leverages polypeptides naturally found in healthy scalps, which diminish in cases of hair loss. Supplementing the scalp with these polypeptides stimulates hair growth in a natural manner, without the risk of side effects.
QR678® Neo is particularly effective in treating androgenetic alopecia, including male pattern baldness and female pattern hair loss. It has also shown promising results in addressing hair loss caused by chemotherapy, seborrheic dermatitis, and immunogenic diseases such as alopecia areata.
Developed through extensive research, QR678® Neo combines bio-mimetic polypeptides with essential amino acids and minerals. This innovative blend has proven to be more effective than traditional treatments like Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), stem cell therapy, and even conventional medications such as Minoxidil or Finasteride. It delivers remarkable outcomes not only in established cases of male and female pattern baldness but also enhances results post-hair transplant. Particularly in early stages of hair loss (Norwood Grade I – III), QR678® Neo has demonstrated superior efficacy compared to hair transplant surgery, making it a groundbreaking solution in the realm of hair restoration.
The discovery and development of QR678® Neo, a groundbreaking hair formulation therapy, are rooted in an unexpected finding by Dr. Shome during his research in 2006. While investigating a drug for ocular and neural cancers involving animal trials, an incidental observation of hair loss in the animal model led to a pivotal shift in focus. This research, conducted in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai (IIT), unveiled potential links between certain growth factors, polypeptides, and hair growth.
From 2006 to 2008, Dr. Shome’s dedicated exploration of these initial findings identified five naturally occurring growth factors/polypeptides in humans that could influence hair growth. This was based on signal transduction of proteins observed in animal models.
In 2009, the transition from animal models to human trials marked a significant milestone. The first human trial aimed to determine the optimal concentration mix of these growth factors and polypeptides, setting the stage for the development of the QR678® Neo formulation.
Further validation of QR678® Neo’s efficacy and safety came between 2013 and 2016 through a Phase III clinical trial involving 1,000 patients of both genders. The results, published in the prestigious Journal of Cosmetic & Laser Therapy in 2017, were compelling. After eight treatment sessions, 71% of participants showed improvement, 10% experienced a decrease in hair fall, and 19% saw no change. These outcomes underscored QR678® Neo’s effectiveness across diverse demographics and even in patients with underlying metabolic disorders such as diabetes, hypertension, and hypercholesterolemia.
The journey from an incidental observation during cancer research to the development of a clinically validated hair restoration therapy underscores the innovative and patient-centric approach driving the creation of QR678® Neo.
The QR678® Neo therapy underwent a comprehensive Phase III clinical trial in India, focusing on its effectiveness and safety in hair restoration. This open-label, prospective, single-arm interventional study involved 1,000 patients receiving mesotherapy injections directly into the scalp. The treatment protocol included eight sessions, spaced 3 to 4 weeks apart.
This trial underscores QR678® Neo’s significant potential in enhancing hair density and slowing hair loss across diverse patient profiles, affirming its role as a safe and effective treatment in hair restoration.
